The ActiveCaptain app is a valuable tool for Garmin chartplotter owners, providing a seamless connection between mobile devices and Garmin products. This all-in-one app offers a range of features that enhance boating experiences, catering to various activities such as cruising, fishing, sailing, and diving.

By simply pairing the app with a compatible chartplotter, users can wirelessly transfer and access charts, maps, software updates, routes, waypoints, and valuable feedback from the ActiveCaptain Community. With the addition of the OnDeck™ hub(1), boat tracking and monitoring can be done from virtually anywhere.

It is important to note that while the app is not recommended as a stand-alone navigational app, it offers several noteworthy features:

• ONECHART™: Garmin Navionics+™ and premium Garmin Navionics Vision+™ cartography are available for North America and Europe, with worldwide availability coming soon. These charts provide exceptional coverage, clarity, and detail with integrated Garmin and Navionics data. Additionally, NOAA raster cartography(3) and premium features can be downloaded for free through the ActiveCaptain app.
• PLAN A TRIP: Users can plan their trips or scout new fishing spots before hitting the water. Data can be easily transferred to the chartplotter for convenient viewing of routes and waypoints.
• USER DATA SYNC: Data is automatically backed up and synchronized between the chartplotter and the ActiveCaptain app.
• ACTIVECAPTAIN COMMUNITY: Join a community of boaters to access up-to-date feedback on marinas, boat ramps, and other points of interest. Ratings, reviews, and pictures provide valuable information for making informed decisions on the water. Users can contribute their own points of interest, reviews, and pictures from compatible mobile devices.
• CONTROL YOUR CHARTPLOTTER: The built-in Helm™ feature allows users to view and control their compatible(4) chartplotters from their smartphones or tablets, even when others are operating the vessel.
• EASY SOFTWARE UPDATES: Users receive notifications about software updates and can update their chartplotters wirelessly through the app.
• ONDECK HUB: With the OnDeck system(1), the ActiveCaptain app enables tracking, monitoring, and control of multiple switches from almost anywhere. Text alerts and updates provide peace of mind regarding the boat's status.
• GARMIN QUICKDRAWTM COMMUNITY: Boaters can download the latest 1’ HD contour maps shared by other users and sync them with their chartplotters. Users also have the option to upload their own Quickdraw Contours map data.
